There are lots of recipes for marinades, but sometimes it's just nice to have a good, all-purpose barbeque marinade recipe handy - one that will work for BBQ chicken, steak, pork, or even fish.
Whisk together all of the ingredients. Works best to marinate
meat for at least 2 hours, up to overnight - with the exception of
fish (marinate for 15-30 minutes).
You can also reserve some of the marinade to use as a sauce.
Just set a small amount aside before marinating the meat. Just
before the meat is finished on the barbecue, cook the marinade
with a small amount of cornstarch to thicken it.
